Thanks for the shots of the T-33, the F-80 (and the F11F/F-11 Tiger!)
Is there any chance that the F-80C fuselage could become the basis of a
flying F-80 Shooting Star someday??
And Paul - I enjoyed seeing your T-33 in action at Thunder Over Michigan last month. When at first I didn't see it on Friday or Saturday I was afraid you didn't make it. But on Sunday when I was hanging around near the area waiting for my late day departure from the Detroit airport, I caught some great views of you flying circuits of the field with the F-86F and the MiG-17F. GREAT looking T-33! I wish I could have caught you flying in that terrific 4-Jet formation at Oshkosh later in July (with the "Red Knight" T-33, the FJ-4B Fury and the F-86F Sabre).
Thanks Jim! Yah, I was late getting back from Canada where I was ferrying T-33s out of Mountainview/Trenton to Burlington VT (those three T-33s are in Portsmouth NH now). I asked airboss at Thunder if I could sneak in during the show on Saturday but it was too close to the Blues flying so I had to wait til they finished.
