I stopped by at Duxford today .... yes I know I was a week early ~ Flying Legends airshow is next weekend

Here's a quick news update to get you in the mood ......

The P-40 arrived from Chino this week and is being reassembled in the The Fighter Collection hanger. It looks magnificent.

Further down inside the hanger ~ only parts of Stephen Greys P-47 Thunderbolt are still in England. The wings have gone "down under" for rebuild and the fuselage has gone to Chino for the same treatment.

Image

Given the appalling weather forecast for this weekend, it was unlikely that the new TF-51 would have made an appearance ....... but the PC-12 did turn up mid afternoon, leaving the Mustang in Scotland to await better weather.

And it wouldn't be Duxford without a Spitfire or two would it ?

Only a week to go ......

:D :D :D

Beautiful photos! I find it amazing that the Tomahawk is already so complete! What, it just arrived in crates on the 27th? Looking forward to seeing many photos of that one in the air over Duxford this coming weekend!

MANY thanks for the terrific pix Rob. Nice to see the clear detail shots of her opened up like that.

Enjoy next weekend - already looking forward to your future pictures.
