This is the place where the majority of the warbird (aircraft that have survived military service) discussions will take place. Specialized forums may be added in the new future

Good work Brandon! That ID has been a long-time mystery
It'll be in the next issue of A-C with no credit

Everyone who matters will already know it was first revealed on the WIX!

Wow, that’s cool, Brandon!

I heard about that today:
Also buried with it were 10 gallons of gasoline — in case internal combustion engines became obsolete by 2007 — a case of beer, and the contents of a typical woman's handbag placed in the glove compartment: 14 bobby pins, a bottle of tranquilizers, a lipstick, a pack of gum, tissues, a pack of cigarettes, matches and $2.43.
A fella could have a pretty good weekend in Vegas with all that stuff.

Wait! What about the buried Lancasters in England? Or the ME-262s in the cave hangars?!? You mean, all those stories weren't true!?
Oh well, at least I can still hope for Santa bringing me a warbird... right?

Excellent work. And yes, it does look like it's in quite good condition. Other than the metal work to replace the class sections, the airframe looks in very good conditions considering the age and amount of time it has probably been sitting outside.
Thanks for the pics/info.
Cheers,
David

Surrrre Wolverine..why not? You're awful free with MY BOOZE there buddy!!!
Maybe DaveM2 can get us a twofer..the A-20 and the B-25 for the same case?
But the '25 gets ID'd first...if his contact gets caught..I'll have a new prison pen-pal.
Any other requests? At this rate we'll turn the entire Russian Air Force into
a bunch of drunken free-market capitalists...
Wonder how much Vodka it would cost for them to "export" us a Bear? 4 burnin' and 8 turnin'..Yeah baybee!!
Sorry Dave...a slight touch of greed we Americans are so notorious for..
