warbirds on poles

Thu Jun 14, 2007 6:55 pm

Hello, on my way down to the naval air museum I passed two sad looking warbirds on poles. One was a t-34c near an airport the other a t-28 next to a high school. There is also a beech 18 near where I live on top of a gas station that has closed down. I know all three of these warbirds are not rare by any means but still they shouldnt rot away. There was an issue of warbird international(?) that had the story of a hellcat drone on a pole. That is a pretty rare warbird.(I know not real rare but there is not to many of them left). I think these warbirds should at least be checked for corosion. Thanks for listening to me.

John,

If you don't mind please go to...

http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.php

And check to see if your birds are in the database. If not let me know with as many details as you can provide (regarding location) and I will add them.

Rick,
Yes I was in Milton,Fl.

The t-28 and t-34 are in the database already and I will try to find the specific location of the beech 18. It isnt in the database. It is on a road that doesnt get much traffic. I saw it driving around about 5 years ago, and a couple of months ago from the window of a c152. Thank you
