What performers and warbirds are expected at this years event as the LSFM website still shows 2006 info.

For warbirds I know of Howard in the Bearcat and Bill in the Spit. Don't know of much else at the moment. Cavanaugh usually shows up with 2 or 3 airplanes. Last year it was the P-40 and OV-1. I'm hoping a Hurricane will be there but not crossing my fingers.

The F-15E, F-16, and Super Hornet demos will be there. The Eagles and '16s are already at Ellington.

I'll be helping on the Skyraider both days.

Working on it Chuck. Just got home from down there and I'm a little tired.

Warbirds included: LSFM P-47, Corsair, Hellcat, B-25, CAF Helldiver, Bill's Spitfire, Raybourne Thompson's Spitfire, Stewart Dawson's Sea Fury, Howard's Bearcat, Rick Sharpe's Skyraider and Huey, and the Cavanaugh P-40 and OV-1. Oh and this guy from San Antonio showed up in his Mustang...

Also included a B-52 and B-2 fly-by, plus the Super Hornet, F-15E, and F-16 demos.

It was a good show. The only "civilian" act was Paul Fiala in his Great Lakes. For us warbird junkies it was great. Seeing 2 Spitfires in the air together was something I have been waiting for, for a very long time.

I have lots of pics but I probably won't mess with them until tomorrow.

BTW, it was also great getting to finally meet Bill today. I've been chasing his Spitfire since I was old enough to recognize the thing.

I heard from a friend on the flightline that the person with the Mustang is the new owner if Glacier Girl. He can drop in on me anytime.

Please post pics soon- it has been a long day thinking about what I was missing.

The P-51 did come to Galveston on Saturday, but he didn't park with the other fighters or, as far as I know come to the briefing or fly in the show. It would have been great to have a Muatang up, there was room for it. I didn't meet the pilot and the plane was not there on Sunday.

I overlooked mentioning probably the most important part of theLSFM show at Galveston, Mr. Dick Cole of the lead B-25 of the Dolittle Raiders was there. He seems pretty healthy and spry even though he must be geting along in years.I hope someone has some more photos of the show.

Wow, that P-47 looks small compared to the F-15 and F-16. Almost look like models at different scales...

Beautiful photos.
