Could have been a lot worse. Glad that pilot made it out, but sorry for his loss of the aircraft.

Forced landing under investigation
By The Gazette Staff

A forced landing near the Red Lodge airport Tuesday morning is being investigated by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Mike Fergus, an agency spokesman, said a single-engine T-28 made a forced landing, but the pilot was not seriously injured. The aircraft did not sustain major damage, and the incident is under investigation, Fergus said.

According to FAA records, the airplane is owned by Wally Zook & Associates Aircraft Finance Corp. in Red Lodge. The plane was built as a military trainer in 1955.
