Whereabouts of B-25D / 43-3318 / N25644 ~ Grumpy ?

As we're on something of a B-25 theme of late ~ has anyone heard / seen anything of the former Fighter Collection Mitchell ?

I see on the FAA website that is still registerd to Vulcan Warbirds ( Flying Hertiage Collection ).

It left TFC at Duxford and went into the care of South Coast Aviation based at Bournmouth, England. It made an apparance at the Biggin Hill Air FAir after it changed hands but since then nothing !

I've heard that it has severe corision in the center section. :(
any truth in this :?:

Highly unlikely, I'd say. It was rebuilt by Aero Trader in the mid-80s, and has always been hangared since then. I can vouch that it was certainly well looked after whilst under TFC's ownership.

N88972: Mechanical and restorative work including new engines, props, interior finishing, glass, and turret done for Steven Grey's Fighter Collection in Duxford, England. Sold to Flying Heritage Collection and in storage in the UK.

Well, lots of things can happen in 20+ years regardless of storage and maintenance. Intergranular corrosion for one due to poorly heat treated wartime extrusions. Doesn't sound like Aero Trader did a ground-up restoration either.

Sorry for bumping up this old topic but are there any updates on the plans for this aircraft? I saw it in some recent pics, sitting in a hangar at Duxford and had assumed it would have long departed to the US.

It appears to now be owned by John Sessions, and will be joining his new Paine Field based museum, KILO-6. There is a collection of photos of it in the gallery.

and Sessions is erecting the garage mahal across the field from FHC's hanger so KPAE will soon be a destination for warbird types   :D

Is that the same field as Joe Clark will also be keeping the former TFC F7F?.
