The 2008 Republican VP candidate and her husband are floatplane owners!

I guess the Palin's didn't like the previous Alaskan governor's Westwind II jet...

She's hot, she shoots guns, and is a float plane owner. Sounds like my kind of gal.

But couldn't the Palins have named their daughter after an American airplane company instead of a British one?

No, it's probably after Bristol Bay as her hubby is a commercial fisherman when he's not a pipeline worker, between stints as a nuclear medicine doctor (seems like every time he's mentioned, he's got another more interesting job), and the daughter is named after a willow tree, the oldest son seems to named after a bicycle or a running shoe-see what kids who grew up in the early 70's learned besides how to design souless, stupid, bar of soap cars?

all I know is I can understand why her preggers daughter got that way. She's pretty cute in jeans. :P

Seems she is cool with aviation.

Alaska Governor Palin Signs Aviation, Promotional Check
By admin - Posted on April 10th, 2008
Bills: Capstone Safety & Consumer Protection
April 9, 2008, Juneau, Alaska - Alaska Governor Sarah Palin today signed two bills into law that will increase aviation safety and protect consumers from unfair and deceptive practices.

Senate Bill 249, sponsored by Governor Palin, provides Alaskan airplane owners the opportunity to use a new low-interest loan program to purchase state-of-the-art avionics equipment for their aircraft.

One in 47 people in Alaska is a licenced pilot, you have to be in a state where the total population is about the same as the number of folks in Souix City IA, and there are only two ways to get to the state capitol fly or boat as no roads lead into or out of Juneau.
Your nearest neighbor could live over 100 miles away, and it might take you three days by snow machine to get to a village that has a store, and that village might have 200 residents, vast doesn't begin to fit the size of Alaska in terms that 'outsiders' can comprehend, lots of people in the Great Land live a very long way from population centers by choice.
I lived in Anchorbanks (Anchorage) in the mid 60's for a while and it can be a shock to people who are used to reading the WSJ every day, go into a restaurant on the highway to eat and you ask 'what have you got?' not 'I'll have a...'totally different culture

Maybe she can drum up a little cashola for a shelter for the Elmendorf P-38 if she makes it to the big show in Washington. She does have a certain appeal that Cheney lacks quite frankly.
