Should I buy a Tripod or Monopod?

I'm trying to decide which I should buy, a Tripod or Monopod. I really want both but I only have the funds for 1 right now. So which should I get and Why? Are monopods that helpful at airshows or just another pain in the neck?

I'm looking at the Bogan 3021 for my Tripod and the Bogan 679 for my Monopod.
Both seem to get good reviews from other camera people.
