Corsair accident, a complete write off!

Hi,
Shannon and I were in the HomeGoods store the other day and I was slowly meandering through the store trying to look uninterested and not too terribly out of place. Into the "Country" section.
I went and saw a metal VW Cabriolet, approximately a 66 or so looking pretty vintage but not a horrible depiction. Out of the corner of my eye I catch the Propeller of a Corsair desk model. As I approached I saw that it was a Blue 4 bladed airplane with 2 bombs and a few rockets, one bomb had been dropped onto the shelf already and I was thinking DISCOUNT!
I wandered away thinking about the model and where it would end up in the apartment. I looked for Shannon and found her on a mission for some curtains, I mentioned the Corsair to her and travelled back to the "Country" section to retrieve my prize.
As I entered the section I looked over to see another woman looking at my airplane, pick it up and drop this fine piece of craftsmanship, then off comes the other bomb, the pitot tube, half of the base, and one propeller blade. She looks around piles everything back on the shelf and stands there looking at the other items. I asked the girl in the next aisle if there was a deal of the day on the airplane, she replied "We cannot sell something that is this damaged, it has to go back" and then proceeded to drop the airplane a few feet from the customer service counter breaking off a wing and all the other loose items that remained attached during all the other skirmishes the aircraft had battled earlier in the story.
I felt a loss, I was hurt, I have never seen these items in a goofy Homegoods store, let alone witness the destruction of a perfectly good discounted desk model. These things sell for $75 to $150 in aviation stores and whatnot but since it was there it was $19.99 if perfect, and it could have been less with minimal damage.
I was ready, a repair plan was in order. I could have made the repair and signed it off IAW the elmers glue instruction manual and been the proud owner of a battle damaged aviation Icon! But NO, I went home empty handed because I hesitated and another untrained pilot attempted to take to the skies in my "Score".
