B-24 LIBERATOR - AMAZING STORY

The Genius of Henry Ford.

This was BEFORE Pearl Harbor !!!
Ford's B-24 Bomber Plant at Willow Run, MI.
Henry Ford was determined that he could mass produce bombers just as he had done with cars.
He built the Willow Run assembly plant and proved it. It was the world's largest building under one roof.
Even then FORD HAD A BETTER IDEA!
This film will absolutely blow you away - one B-24 every 55 minutes.
ADOLF HITLER HAD NO IDEA THE U.S. WAS CAPABLE OF THIS KIND OF THING.

There's some truth in this, but let's not buy into the propaganda 100%.

Ford never achieved true mass production of airplanes; nor did anyone else. The quantities were too small, the demands for modification too frequent, and the required precision too high. It was very frustrating for Henry. There were persistent quality problems which a 1943 investigation found were caused by trying to shoehorn airplane production into the car model. The plant succeeded when it became more like every other aircraft plant.

Hitler was well aware that the U.S. had capability like this, which is why he tried hard not to go to war with the U.S.
