So has anyone see it yet? Where do you rate it. Setting aside special effects I would rate it the 4th best of the Star Wars films. If you consider special effects then it moves to 3rd place.
The CGI still needs some work. Yoda just didn't look right (cartoonish). I think the old way of doing things (stop frame filming) gave much better results than the CGI.

Saw it last Saturday. All I have to say, is that I'm grateful for Ewan McGregor, because those 3 episodes would have been so drab without him...
But it was rather neat, I liked General Grievous.

I enjoyed it a lot more than the last 2 movies.
But the Cg in areas did not cut it for me. at two points the blurred CG was so bad I could not pay attention to the general action.
I'll buy it when it come out on DVD and may even go see it again. It was worth seeing.

We did the "All geeks are going to the movie" thing at work. I liked the scenery and some of the fighting. Learning some of the connections between people was cool. Buttt,,,,,Someone ought to introduce ole George to the whole "Editing" concept. That movie had at least an hour of filler movie in it. It wouldn't have been so bad if he hadn't had the filler movie occupying long continuous stretches. He should hire someone to write some adult dialog also. If it isn't children talking to robots, he seems to have a problem with it. It's like a kids idea of how big people talk and act with each other. Nuke ,anyone? assault rifle? Sword fighting a half a zillion gun toting robots...ahhhhh
I would have been able to have a nice mid movie nap, but the woman who seems to have popcorned and sodaed herself into a perfect shape, "5'4", completely round, as tall laying down as standing up" hadn't been cackling and bumping my chair. I hate theaters. At least I didn't have to be at work for most of the day.
I must be getting old. I did like a lot of the movie though.

Have there been more than 2?

I liked it a little, but too fairy tale like. I think if was made a little more realistic like the first one, it would have been a lot better! On that note, it appears more geared toward young kids, and I think it would be better if a better story line was made. THat goes for the last two as well. I think things gradually went downhill after the very first one in 1977.
