Jack Palance(1919-2006)

Hi all,

Being from a rural part of Pennsylvania it is nice to hear that there are some "famous" people from our area. One of those was the great Jack Palance(a favorite actor of mine). Sadly Jack Palance died last year at the age of 87. A great man and true to his roots, Palance acknowledged a life-long attachment to his Pennsylvania heritage and visited there when able. Jack Palance was from Luzerne County.

Anyway, anyone here ever liked Jack Palance?

Here is a link for more info about Jack Palance.

Nathan,

I didn't know until I read his obituary that Mr. Palance had been injured badly in a B-24 crash while training during WWII. The article I read said that his rugged facial features were in part due to surgery needed to correct injuries from the crash. His wry smile was certainly entertaining!
