We were trying to find a set up today that we could use to service the struts on a T-6 and that started me thinking, what does everyone else use to service the struts. So fire away with ideals and pix's please. TIA, Lynn |

The struts on the T6 that I work on have standard, high pressure, schrader valves just like the ones on most airplanes. (The high pressure valves are the ones that don't have valve cores, you turn a nut to seal and unseal the valve) We use a standard nitrogen bottle setup that can be found at most airports. |

Hello Lynn, as the schrader valve points straight up in a very limited space environment, we personally found the following Schrader 90 degree Coupling not to be working very good: ![]() The following two couplings should make the access to the valve easier, but we didn´t try them personally: ![]() ![]() These Couplings are designed for several thousands of psi, as we are not using that high pressure in the T6 Struts, a regular valve connector like for inflating tires worked out as well in our case. If I remember correct, the parts manual calls for a solid copper gasket AN901-5C (not a AN900 crush washer) between the schrader valve and the strut. Chris |

Chris Chris, thank you for your time and these pictures. May I ask where did you get these from? Lynn |

I am not sure where to get the "straight" one, but the 90degree and the 45?? degree ones are available via skygeek. Type in "schrader" as keyword to get results. Good luck Chris |
