What should be the correct thickness for the glass side panels?

According to the RCAF Harvard Structural Repair Manual (EO-05-55A-3) it is 3/16" laminated glass.

A few tips about installing the side glass. First, make absolutely certain that you do not set the glass on the backside of any rivets, or on any kind of wrinkle or bend in the channels. The rubber molding puts considerable stress on the glass, and it will crack if there are any bumps or lumps on it. I know from experience! Plexiglass is much more foregiving (and cheaper) although it may not have the scratch resistance of glass.

Will do, will do!
My mechanic is asking me if we can install them using condition "A" rivets, as with Cessna windshields and such?

Canopy frames are riveted together around the glass. Rivets are structural for holding things together. Sorts rivets aren't the wy to go unless the manuals specify it is allowed.

That's what we thought too.
