I sometimes help a buddy fuel his T-6G. Both his outboard fuel cells are operational. Here are my questions:

When fueling, is there any trick to ensure that fuel is properly migrating to fill the outboard cells?
Does anyone here use a marked dipstick to determine fuel remaining?
Is there any concern that the main tank will appear full only to drop as fuel migrates to the outboard cell?
Any other gotchas you guys have learned about monitoring G-model fuel levels?

There are check valves with a flapper between the main alum tank, as per all T-6 types, and the rubber bladder in the OB wing.
So it may take a bit of time for levels to equate between the 2 tanks.
We fill one side, fill the other, go back to the 1st tank and top off, repeat on side 2. Then recheck.
You would be on your own to make a stick, start with an empty tank and you might need to put 20 or more gallons in before you'll get a reading on the stick. put 10 gallons at a time, wait a few minutes and then insert and mark the stick.
Bladders like to be wet, fuel before putting away in the hangar and then check during preflight and top off before flying if needed.
