Question before I go on my back upside-down with a flashlight with my legs getting cramps hanging out the front cockpit. Is there an adjustment to the control lock mechanism for it to stay put and not unlock with the slightest sneeze of the wind? I lock it and put a bungee cord around the front stick to hold in place for now, I want to fix it propper even if it consists of a new control lock. Anyone? |

I had photos, but they all went away with Webshots' demise... As I recall there is a pin that goes into a hole and it is spring loaded. The spring could be broken or the pin gummed up. I could take more photos next week if you like when I'm back out at the airport. |

How much fore and aft play of the stick when engaged? It should be minimal. If you have play you need to adjust the assy by moving it where it attaches to the 2 foot rests. Easiest to do with the side panels and wing fairings removed. Good Luck. |

Very little fore and aft play, it locks in but the locking lever if moved a little snaps down in the stowed position and its unlocked easily. Ill check out the settinging this weekend. @ BDK, Thanks, ill lube the heck out of the pin when I check it. No big deal, just annoying having to put the bungee on the stick before shoving the plane back in the hangar. Thanks Guys! |

Yea check the pin and the piece the pin engages for alignment, wear and whether it is bent so the pin doesn't engage properly. Good luck |

Fixed... The small hole the pin goes into was clogged up, only allowing the pin to engage partially. Cleaned and lubed spring, pin and cleaned out the cup that has hole for pin, it is a tight fit, but locks for sure. |
