Post subject:  T6 control cables drawings
Does anyone have any T6 control cable drawings that they could share please ?
We have a parts book, but that is a bit ambiguous to say the least!

I dunno for what exact model you need the lengths but the E&M or -2 US Military manuals should have a section with all the cable lengths and fittings as a chart or list. This should be standard for most of the WWII USAAC manuals, at least for the fighters and trainers I have seen and used.
Also the CD sold on EBAY of T-6 Blueprints would have the prints based on PN.

Thanks for the reply Rich.
We have the cables,but the parts manual doesn't show how they run and where to etc. very clearly, as you probably know. You also have to flick to various different sections, to try to follow the routings and bracketry/pulleys needed, for each.
I will look up the cd, do you just type in Harvard /T6 blueprints ?
I believe it is a T6G.

The CD that I have doesn't cover beyond T-6F. The G stuff I have on Microfilm.
You can try Canadian Mk4 manuals as they are similar to the G. Most stuff is similar to earlier models though.

You can also grab a camera and go visit one under inspection this winter if any are close.
BDK might have his fus assembled with cables and could take some pics for you. It's not a G but most cable runs are the same or similar.

At least the Parts Manual shows illustrations for the G. The AT-6A/SNJ-3 Parts is just a listing of all the parts. No pics. Quite Boring.

It was built as a 'D',then remanufactured as a 'G' in '51.

If only I had a tablet or similar,I could then look the pictures up as we go along and zoom in etc,have to ask Santa nicely !

I don't know what all is in the Bald Eagle thread.
NAA is pretty logical in how they do things. The pulley brackets and the stamped covers are probably your concern in the fus. Most of the stamped cover guides can only go one way. Hopefully some photos will surface to help.

A quick look through the RCAF manual EO-05-55A-2, Harvard Series Maint Manual, shows a little more in-depth description and illustrations than the US manuals for the control installation and cables. You might give that a try.

Just firing up this thread again for my own purposes....

The Harvard IV SRM that I have (that I printed off from my T-6 Manuals CD) only has half of the Fig.14-7 (pg 252) Cable Chart on it?.... seems like it may have been originally a fold out A3 size page, but whoever originally scanned it didn't capture it all?

Is anyone able to help me out with a copy of the full Fig.14-7 Chart?

I've checked the only other SRM I have (SNJ from same CD) but it doesn't include cables.

I have a box full of mixed old & new, unlabelled cables that arrived with my project & just trying to work out what I have & what I need... which leads me to also ask... does anyone know of any maintenance shops able to supply new pre-made approved complete T-6 cable sets?

Related to this is also our recent CASA Airworthiness Bulletin recommendation to replace control cable terminal ends (AN669, MS21260 & MS20668) 15 years or older due to corrosion.

Anyway... any help with a complete Fig.14-7 Cable Chart would be greatly appreciated.

Lance Aircraft Supply in Dallas, Texas should have all these cables in stock, new/old stock in the wrap, and for less money than it would cost you to have a shop make them up new.

Shipping across the world will be costly as well.
