Finally AJ832 is back in the air

Mon Oct 07, 2013 8:32 pm

After more than a year of 'annual'... fixing one thing after another to include redoing the engine, a brand new prop (to us), all sorts of stuff... first flight today:

Lookin good Scott! I guess I should get back to work on those diagrams for you. :-)

AJ583 turned out pretty good after her makeover...

(the civil registration on the left wing was recently removed and the other 'AJ583' vinyl lettering was applied in its place)

AJ583 looks great.... maybe the two can meet at Oshkosh one day soon! A fellow heard my pleas and made stencils for me with your fonts.... It will be fun to paint the airplane... but its gotta fly some for awhile!

Scott, is this the same airplane that had the carb problems? Curious if you had resolution to that problem since there was a lot of opinions but no solid answer. Thanks.

No, it is a different T-6. I think I answered the Carb issue in the thread that addressed it. I sent the carb to Aero Engines in LA and they fixed it, the basic thing was the idle mixture 'thingies' were installed backwards and it had wallowed out the shaft, among a few other items. I'd need to go back to that thread and see what my final input was.

You did. I thought maybe there was a "part deux".
