Unless it is CCF produced it is different than the standard military type seat belts.
They used a single bolt to attach the belt to a triangle shaped alum bracket.
I use Hooker Harnesses to make the restraints so maybe they can provide an answer.

I'm about to get new ones made by Hooker, and I want to keep the width original (1 7/8"), hence why I'm looking for those thingies.

I came up with a part number 45-53063.

Is that AN or ?

Are you talking the buckle end (metal) on the belt webbing?
In the upper L/H corner of the photo is the fabric belt material.
My prints don't cover 45-53063. That appears to be either NAA or Mfg number, not AN.
The original Seat Belt for US built A/C probably was an AN typer belt but yours isn't that type as it is like 3" wide.
IIRC you can send your belt in and they will reuse the fittings with new webbing made to the donor's dimensions.

Yes, the metal thing connected to the fabric.

Trouble is, I have one original harness in the front seat, and one from something or another in the back seat. I'd like both harnesses to be original 1" 7/8 fabric...

Nothing can never be simple or it wouldn't be half as fun.

Were they 1 7/8" originally or is that a Canadian or British thing on the Harvards? The Spitfire is different size (narrower) than US Fighters.
I'll try to grab a couple pics of what is normal for the US version.

I think they were 1"7/8 originally, the Harvard parts catalogue shows them with that same metal buckle as in my picture. The one I have in the back is from a US aircraft, it has a 3" lap belt.

Ahh, the British influence.
I'd talk with Hooker and see if they have the hardware.
Otherwise see if someone has a used set they replaced and have new webbing installed.
You have the folks at Lance to ask as well.
Good luck.
