What is the consensus on the benefits of installing an electric preoiler on the 1340? I searched the posts and found a lot of discussion on how to preoil but nothing on the pros & cons. If this has been hashed out elsewhere please direct me to the postings.

The engine will never start dry...we run preoilers on the bombers and the mustang. In the long run its cheap insurance.

I recommend you give Rob Seeman over at Covington Engines a call.

He can answer just about any question you may have on the R-1340, and he's a very nice guy!

Hi there,
did anybody purchased a pre-oiler recently? We tried to get in contact with Oilamatic, Inc via Phone/Fax/Email/Voicemail....unfortunately without response. Is the business still running?
Another option would be clean-kit.com (Darton Aviation/Mike Muraski)....
Any other provider of pre-oilers, we should consider?
