Source for Harvard/T-6/SNJ Cowling Reinforcement

We're well into the annual inspections on CHAA's Harvards, and one thing we've found is a cracked cowling reinforcement, probably caused by the cowling being too tight and buckling when the engine expanded at operating temperature.
That being said, we're looking for a source for the 'Cowling Ring Front Reinforcement' as seen in the photos.




The RCAF IPC (EO-05-55A-4) gives 55-310155-4 as the part number for the channel on the right side cowling.
For the LH and Bottom sections it shows 55-310156 and 55-310152-5.

As it's only about a 6 inch section that is cracked, a partial piece might do the trick to splice the damaged section.

From what I've been told, we can get the 'Cowling Supporting Channel' pieces (the shorter pieces that fit over the reinforcement...1 per cylinder), but no luck so far on the reinforcement strip.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

I've gotten a couple over the years from Lance.
One other reason these happen is the cyl head pad on each cowl looses its shape. There should be a shared contact between the long pads on the baffles and the bolt on brackets on each cylinder. As they deform under heat and pressure during use it will change how much load front and rear contact points carry.
Find older beat up cowls and harvest parts when you can.
