Not mine, found it on an auction website today, a Lockheed Quietstar! Right from Dryden Flight Center. Surely some WIXer would want it. How cool would this be painted like a Vietnam bird?

It's here: http://gsaauctions.gov/gsaauctions/auci ... CI15028601

I got to see this one (or one like it) at Edwards one day. It is as small and quiet as people say it is. Neat little airplane, wish I was rich.

From what I've read this was the only one at Dryden, used for noise research with helicopters. It's one of 11 making it a pretty rare warbird as well. Rich?... For a complete and operational 2 place single piston engine aircraft, $10,000 seems pretty low (the current reserve with NO bids!). Not something I have the means to do either but I really hope someone on WIX saves her, it would be awesome to learn about it. I was looking for more info on it, the operational manual from NASA is out there, really cool info in it.

Not the reserve, just the starting bid.
