About to begin a T-28 D restoration (with not too much money), I'm searching for any technical documentation, original or copy for this project. I'm also searching for sub assemblies documentation like brakes, hydraulic actuators, wiring diagram and so on.....
I have to "bolt up" a Wright R-1820-82B on this airplane. Does anybody knows about this modification?
Thanks

First thing you need is a set of manuals. If this is going to be a flyer, you will need them anyway. First one that I would chase would be an IPB. That will give you a complete break down so that you can accumulate all the nuts, bolts, washers and screws for the various installations. After that, then the maintenance manuals as they will have all the necessary procedures, torques and adjustments that you will need. There are a number of places to order them, and T-28 books should be pretty easy to find.

When you buy hardware, all the common stuff, like nuts and washers and small diameter screws and bolts, go on and buy in the bulk quantities for the smaller sizes. You will kill yourself dollar wise if you buy exact numbers... ie if you need say 30 of the AN960-D10L's, just buy the 100 count package. It will cost the same or less and then you have some on hand as you always end up needing a couple more for some reason or another assembly. Onesy-twosey buying of common hardware sizes will kill your working budget in a hurry, especially if you have to order stuff and have it shipped.
