I am in need of five C-166/AIC-3 intercom boxes for our C-47 restoration.

Hi Dave!

What do they look like? Do you have a picture? What about an image from a manual?
Thanks
Albert

The boxes, usually black in color are about 8 1/2 inches long, side to side, and 5 1/2 inches tall and around 2 1/2 inches deep. Near the top center is a round volume control, flanked on either side by two selector switch knobs, and along the bottom are 9 toggle switches. I have photos but am unable to post them here. I may try to send them via email to Dave Green and see if he can post them. Thanks

Yankee Air Museum is also in need of four C-166/AIC-3 interphone control boxes for our Douglas.

We have BC-1366 interphone boxes to trade.

Aren't these intercom control boxes for the Navy R4D series aircraft and not the AAF C-47?

I am finding that box showing as applicable to very late C-47Bs in the IPC. I'm not saying they weren't exclusive to the R4D but just that the IPC shows them applying to C47B serial numbers in late '45.

I've concluded that they are not applicable to the Yankee airplane delivered in early '45.
