In our rebuilding project, we have found a few small springs broken on the throttle controls.

Does anyone out there know of a shop that can make small springs.

Ours is a v shaped spring about .060 size wire, and used for lock levers on the carb mixture levers. I have one good and the bad one with the top broken off.

Thanks for any help.

I had some springs made for the P-51C when we had it here. Made off of the blueprint for a sealing assem that mounted to the gun barrel and the spring held a plate to seal the open area around the gun barrel and the blast tube in the wing.
You should be able to get something made but you might need a blue print to get exact material and characteristics right.

If you have a need for many different springs, there's a machine that you can buy and make your own. It can do both tension and compression springs, all sizes.

I have purchased thousands of springs from these guys. They say what they do and do what they say.
