Lord Seat Mount

Mon Aug 25, 2008 2:15 pm

We have a Lord brand seat mount for our pilots seat on the A-26 we are rebuilding.

One of the mounts has seperated in two parts. The Douglas PN is 2159681, Lord PN J 1423.

Questions, does any one know where to get a new one?

Or can we just glue the rubber mount block back onto the metal base mount plate.? And if so, what type of adhesive to be used?

Typically Lord products featured rubber molded to a metal part. It is applied to the metal part in a mold under heat and pressure. I don't know if gluing it back on will work if it takes any kind of load.

Have you contacted Lord? A lot of these things are standard, they may still be made.
