I’ll see what I have in the hangar this weekend, but I’m kind of doubtful.

Almost done with what should be an award winning PT-22 but I am short quite a few clamps for hoses. I would prefer the AC 745's but if I can't find those then I will have to use the later AN 737's. I am guessing that these where used on a bunch of early 40's aircraft and most people have upgraded to the newer style. I need several different styles All help would be greatly appreciated Mike |

Thanks for the help. As far as I can tell I need the following; AC745-2A 30 ea, AC745-1A 2ea, AC745-3A 2 ea, AC745-5A 4 ea. I think the AN737 clamps will have the same dash numbers. Not sure though Al, the 745's look very similar to the 745's which are pictured in a post above. I will try to take a picture and post it asap. Basically these are different from current type's in that the way they tighten up. The ones I need tighten by screwing in from the top and the modern style screws from the side like a common automobile radiator clamp. I am trying to get this PT-22 ready for Oshkosh to be judged. We have been working on it for 10 years. Everything has been pulled apart inspected and repainted. Every piece of skin has been replaced. I have the original hand starter and the very rare lifting socket that is kept in the bagage compartment. Once when the Mustang was being judged they took off points for useing a nylon tie strap instead of the proper wax string to tie up wires. I think I only used 2 or 3 but it matters. This is why I am trying to find the correct clamps. I had all of the instruments sent out to get re-finished and we even sent 2 back because the old style type was not duplicated correctly. Today we removed the rebuilt elevator trim mechanism because the wreck that I bought (one of 3 to get more parts) had a better OLD STYLE example. Next I will try to find the rest of the Gosport system. Thanks Again |

I've also seen some that look like the one on the left but have a hook on the side so they can be opened all the way up for removal without disconnecting the hose. The band of the one on the left looks to be stainless steel, while the band of the right appears to be cadmium plated. Is that correct? |

I don't suppose these would help 
Picked up from an old WW2 aircraft scrapyard a couple years ago ...most appear to be in good condition but were stored in an old ammo box, so have light rust (which rubs off with fingers) on the stainless

Mike We have both styles but I have to dig in the back. I saw them about a week ago (the junior high kids we hire almost tossed the AC stuff out thinking it was junk  ). Ill run across them again here soon.....Ill post a pic shortly maybe you can use them but the finish looked so so on them. I also have them in AN 748's ( stainless )

Mike, I am hot on the trail of these exact style of clamps. Found some already but cleaned them out. Did you find a supplier. I still need more and I think I have found some, just depeds on what style you need. The AN number will NOT give you an exact style. There were many manufactures that had diff looks.
