Can anyone ID this seat? I recovered this years ago with a bunch of other WWII aircraft parts (mostly B-24, P-47, P-51 and P-61). No visible part numbers. Bottom appears to have been made of some type of wood. If you know what it goes to let me know. It has no special interest to me so if you are interested in it make me an offer:

P-47s had wooden seats. You might want to contact Westpac in Rialto, CA.

BDK made the statement that [P-47s had wooden seats]. I've heard this before, but I've never seen pictures of one. The P-47 engineering drawings never show a wood seat either. If the P-47 model(s) (B,C,D, etc.) had a wood seat and where is this documented?

Bill

Van,

These seat parts look like the ones used in Stearmans, T-6's, BT-13,15's. Thay where made of layers of wood like plywood.
