Post subject:  How Do You Advertise Parts For Sale?

Project North Star (the volunteer group at the Canada Aviation Museum who is restoring a Canadair built North Star / DC-4) has received a donation of approximately 5,000 lbs of various aircraft parts. An inventory will begin to to see if any of the components can be used in restoration of any of the museum's aircraft (including the North Star), and the remaining sale will be offered for sale as fund raising for the project.

I honestly have not paid attention to how parts are bought and sold on the net (other than the obvious Ebay). How would PNS go about advertising? Are there any sites out there that allow you to list inventories?

I am looking for advice on behalf of PNS.

Regards,

Mike

Once you have the list, post it here, some folks might find it useful!

Hi Mike,

Try www.barnstormers.com Very user friendly and very widely read. I've scored lots of stuff through advertising with them.

PS "DIBBS!!" on any BT parts! :D

It goes without saying that PNS would publish the list on their website, and if Scott would be willing to link to it that would be great.

As for the outside storage at the CWH, I suspect that was Steve Tournay. You should direct any questions you have to him.

Mike

Also were you the one who said that CWH had placed the remains of their Ansons and Beus outside.

I don't think the CWH has any Anson remains anymore but quite a few of the Bolingbrokes have been outside since delivery back in the 80s.

Hey Eric,

Glad I could get you in there! You get my e-mail about the new camera gear? If so...any suggestions?

Jim
