Gulf Coast Wing has B17 spare parts:

We are going to go First Come First Served by reply through either WIX or email: don_price56@hotmail.com or 713-743-1391 (CDT) or 713-988-2765

Once it has been determined who is buying what AND what the shipping arrangements/costs will be we will send the address to send the funds.
WE CAN SHIP WORLDWIDE.
ALL proceeds go to either getting the Texas Raiders flying again OR making sure she has a proper hangar.

All checks (cashier or otherwise) must clear and should be made out to:
Gulf Coast Wing- CAF

1 pair of main landing gear with axles and the rear mounting brackets- BUT NO TRUNNION PINS rusty, crusty and need rebuilding- $5,000.00 for the pair

2 Main landing gear Wheels (some corrosion, non-airworthy but great for static display.) These are B17 wheels, NOT B29… The Texas Raiders converted over to B29 wheels - $750 each

4 Wheel flanges- $100.00 each

4 used engine mounts - tube steel - $500 each

Rear gunner’s escape door – Original manufacture with hinge brackets and internal handle mechanism but no outside handle -$1,500.00

Lord Mount rubber bushings for mounting engines -$45.00 each

2 Original manufacture Tokyo tank fuel cells- Can’t guarantee these, but they are unused- $200.00 each

2 Ammo boxes-waist gunner’s stations (these are the E and F model according to my Signet Book) ORIGINAL plywood boxes that mount to the floor and have the aluminum brackets to bolt to the fuselage – $500.00 each

Gulf Coast Wing will be auctioning two items on Ebay. (We have had a lot of interest in these so it seems like the best way to go for selling them.)
I will also announce them on WIX HANGAR.

1 Throttle Quadrant. The unit that sits between the pilot and co-pilot with the throttle, prop and mixture levers, as well as the pulleys. In used but serviceable condition. DOES NOT INCLUDE the Magneto panel.
Just for budgeting purposes... opening bid will be $5,000.00

1 set of rudder pedals- opening bid $500.00

Also included in parts for sale is this original drift meter and also a gunners chair (repo) for the B-17. Don did tell me the crew position for the chair, but I had gas on the brain, then worked quite a few nights in a row and forgot....... Alan

The chair looks like it's off a Martin 250CE. I don't think too many B-17's mounted a Martin, though.

Dan K is right on the money, that's a Martin 250 turret seat and judging from that odd ball green/blue paint, I would say it's an Emerson Turret part that was sub contracted out to the Kilgen Organ Company on the north side of town. I can only imagine what that throttle system and rudder pedals will bring.

I could use the Martin 250 seat for one of our restorations (much nicer than the later issued wooden (molded plywood) seat I was planning on using!) Might I enquire the price?

Conversely, do ya'll have a list of items needed for your project and is there any intrest in doing any trading? I have some -17 items here in the hangar that might be of use (a mix of things from tailwheels to retract motors to hydraulic cylinders to radio and armament stuff). Just some oddball spares. If you have a wants list prepared, please send it!

My main computer died yesterday and is in the electronic doctor's office. PM's to my usual e-mail may take me awhile to respond to because of this. In the event you want to drop me a note my office e-mail is rkropp@csainc.org

Great shots, and thanks for posting!

- Pooner
