I was told long ago that the prop blades on a P-39Q are the same ones that are used on Mustangs. Any truth to this at all. thanks in advance |

Some versions had a 4-bladed Aeroproducts prop which the P-51K also featured. Whether or not they were the exact same parts I don't know. The blades probably do interchange on the hub though. You can put Aeroproducts T-28A blades in a P-51K hub. Tsunami (the air racer) flew this way. |

FYI--- Most generally you install T28A blades in a 60 spline Skyraider hub because the regulator is a heavier duty unit than the 50 spline H/K Aeroproducts hub. An adapter piece is made to adapt the 60 spline to the 50 spline prop shaft on a Mustang. VooDoo ran this setup as did Tsunami. We used my H model Aeroproducts prop on Ridge Runner a couple of years ago. We had problems with it as the H model regulator would take the HP from the gorilla engine. The Aeroproducts props for the H & the K were differant units as well. Sparrow |
