Original Propeller hub for engine/prop for the famous Curtiss OX-5 V-8 aero engine. The Curtiss Ox-5 was most famous as the usual powerplant of the famous Curtiss JN-4D "Jenny" of WWI and the later barnstorming years. But, literally. Dozens of well known American aircraft were designed, using the Curtiss OX-5 aero engines. (Including Curtis Robin, Travel Air, Waco, Swallow, Bird, Fairchild, Alexander Eaglerock, Laird, American Eagle, Commandaire, Kreider-Reisner, and many, many others) Many in the great barnstorming Era, of post-WWI. This hub should clean up nice with some steel wool or wire wheel brush and some paint. It has some old grease coating inside the center tapered hole.. Standard 5.25 inch diameter pattern for the long prop bolts & nuts. Has half of the long bolts & nuts. Has the original nut with safety pin clip. Sold as a display item. These prop hubs ALSO fit other taper-shaft prop shafts of the engines by Kinner radial aircraft engines, and the early taper-shaft Warner radial engines .$450 plus $15 more towards shipping and full insurance.I’ll pay any overage.
