Fortress Fan,
I have some parts for the Martin 250 CE5 as used in the PB4Y-1/2. It is the same basic turret as used in the Army's B-24 but they called it the A-3C. At least I think that's how the designations worked. I have parts from the Emerson Electric Turret Division here in St. Louis that built Martins under contract. The best thing you can do from my side is to copy pages from the parts manual, circle the part you are looking for on the exploded diagrams, and write down the P/N. People here in the Colonies are sending the sheets by Post but maybe you can scan and then email the pages. Here's a link to a photobucket page with about 160+ photos of what I've found so far. I have not sold or traded much from this pile yet but I'm nearly ready to give some of this stuff a new home. I look forward to hearing from you. My email is
astixjr@earthlink.net
Thanks, Albert

The Martin 250 turret looks beautiful...just curious if you have any 28V motors for a ball turret? I've seen dozens of motors for the Martin upper turret over the years and have yet to find a single ball turret motor (that someone's willing to sell

).

John,
These are the only motors that we have for turrets that we know of. Do the ball turrett ones look similar to these, just smaller or are they totally diferent?

The ball turret motor looks very similar to the black one shown in the pic. It's about the same size and is a simple cylinder shape with square attachment plates on each end for mounting the two hydraulic pumps. The pump on one end was for azimuth and the pump on the other end was for elevation. The motor was a 28V (actually 27.5V) and was made by a number of subcontractors such as "Emerson", "Diehl", and I believe even "Hobard". If you want...I can post a pic of it.
Thanks.

Craig,
This is what the ball turret electric motor looks like with the Vickers Hydraulic pumps attached to both ends. If you have anything that looks like this please let me know.
