Has anyone seen it yet and what do you think about it? Saw it today and enjoyed it as far as getting the facts about building the bomb. Bill O'Reilly said that they used some things from his book, Killing the Rising Sun which is a great book to read.

This movie is outstanding, and historically quite accurate. I was surprised that there is relatively little attention actually given to the bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, as this was out of the direct influence of Oppenheimer.

What is most interesting to me, and which I knew very little about before the movie (I have now read more deeply into the subject) was the destruction of Oppenheimer's career by a ... politician. Lewis Strauss (which he pronounced "Straws") was a deeply insecure and jealous administrator who somehow felt threatened by Oppenheimer. The Strauss character was played by Robert Downey, Jr. in a role that I think is destined for the best supporting actor Oscar.

I give this highest ranking, though there is little if anything in the way of aircraft.

I agree! although she's pretty, I could have done with a little less of Florence Pugh. I could be mistaken but is Paul Tibbetts character in it? There is one scene just prior to dropping the bomb where a military officer is in a meeting with Groves, Oppenheimer and et all, Oppenheimer asks a question and the officer answers with one line, "I just fly the plane sir" or something like that.
