This movie made Andy Griffith a star. Andy plays a country bumpkin drafted into the 1950's Air Force. It's not hard to see parallels between this movie and Gomer Pyle. The comedy is at times-hilariuos. If you haven't seen it-wait till yousee how the bumpkin booby traps the toilet seats. It is madcap comedy at it's finest. You overlook the lapses in common sense because it is so funny. Four stars out of five.
