You might want to do your homework. I did a very complete salary survey of the other warbird operators/shops (Cavanaugh, Lonestar, Nelson, several others who have asked to remain unnamed etc) and it's competitive. You might be surprised, I wasn't. I have been speaking to people who really know what warbird folks are paid, because they are actually paying them, not those speculating. And I have been doing this for 10 years now.
In the end it all depends on experience as to what I will pay. I have the capacity to pay whatever I choose to, without regard to revenue generated from anything warbird related. Compensation will not be the thing that keeps me from finding the right person. I have no desire to debate it unless I have an applicant with specific, desireable experience in front of me.

Eric,
What a great idea you had to advertise here on WIX- didn't you find the first guy here? Next time, make sure you have him read a menu without pictures before you hire him. And never, NEVER let a Harley Davidson guy work on an Indian- the little, big and bigger Harley hammers don't work on that beautiful product of Springfield Mass. I wish you and Mike great success in your future endeavors!
Hadn't really planned on posting anything here, but I didn't really like the way things were portrayed in the other thread, so I thought I would clarify. Mike worked for me for 2 years and did what I asked of him during that time. I also wish him the best in his future endeavors.
I doubt that the person will come via WIX, but you never know. I have had a couple people contact me but they aren't the right fit either.
Thanks for the good wishes and BTW, I'm the only one who works on the Chief.
