Yes, I know these are models, but I figured that more people would see this here who might know what they are. Are they real prototypes, or just concepts? Thank you! :D

THEY LOOK OLD, CONCEPTS I'D SAY. TO WELL BUILT FOR ORDINARY MODELS. THEY LOOK LIKE TOPPING BRAND MODELS MADE FOR GOVT BRASS & MANUFACTORING BIG WIGS. THEY ARE COOL!! ARE THEY FOR SALE??

Wow, those are pretty cool concept models....Someone had a good imagination! The top one has simulated gear doors in tandem ala the B-52/B-47 with outriggers on the wings.....How about posting a side shot of it? Where did you find them? Very interesting!!!! Thanks for sharing!

Interesting indeed. Second model looks like a late-40s projection of what eventually became the F-102; one of the first supersonic designs, and note the similarity of the front end of the model to that of the Bell XS-1.

These actually are plastic kits, but I still have no idea as to what they are. They were built by a MAPS member who was an aeronautical engineer for Goodyear. He worked on the Goodyear Corsair and helped design the Super Corsair. He passed away several months ago and left his collection of models, books, and photographs to MAPS. My brother and I are working on inventorying everything and could not identify these two models.

This little guy looks like the spitting image of an airplane/model that was used in a Humphrey Bogart movie where he was a test pilot....
