Since I am new, I thought I would share a little about me. My name is Chris. I am 26 and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I work for a local medical helicopter company. I am a pilot and CTO. I am a volunteer at the National Museum of the United States Air Force. and am a member of several organizations such as The Experimental Aircraft Association, Warbirds of America, Air Force Association, the Air America Foundation, Planes of Fame Air Museum, and a few others. I have been working around aircraft since the age of 13, when I started volunteering my Saturday mornings at the Air Heritage Restoration Facility at the Beaver County Airport. I have been involved in several interesting warbird projects such moving the Memphis Belle to Dayton, and the ongoing restoration effort of it, as well as P-51D 45-11464, and in the near future, an T-6G. I look forward to being here, and thanks for having such a cool site.

Thats quite a resume! Once again welcome to the WIX and keep the updates from Dayton coming! How often do you make the drive to Dayton to volunteer? Are they still working on placing more missles in the missile gallery or has that also slowed down so work on the "Belle" can proceed faster?

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome. I volunteer once weekend a month at the museum. This sometimes gets put off if there is some important event in the family going on, but usualy it is not a problem. I can usually get people in to the restoration shop when I am workign, just depends on the threat level at that time. I will post pics soon for you guys. As for the missles, they just placed two more on display, but the main focus of the restoration shop is the Belle. We just moved the Beaufighter onto display, along with the RF-84. We also have the complete booster stage to an Apollo Saturn V to go in there as well.
