Is FIFI in storage, on display, in work? Just curious...

Hi Scott - you might want to search for a post by Gary Austin, crew chief for FiFi - his username is retroaviation and the post is "FIFI engine project explained" on July 10, 2006.

I haven't talked with Gary this last week but last I knew, they were still working on plans to re-engine FiFi to get her back into the air but the cost is a major issue. She is currently on display in the CAF hangar and will be open for tours, I understand, at AIRSHO next weekend.

I'm sure Gary will reply when he has a chance but things have been a bit hectic here in Midland this last week as we get ready for AIRSHO.

Randy

Yes, I'm aware of the engine issue. I was wondering if the aircraft was still undergoing restoration, was on static display, or had been put into long term storage. Thanks for the update.
