Hi All,

Here is a link to some pics I shot at the 2006 Fort Worth Alliance Air Show
this past Sunday (October 1). Not the best, but worth a look.

http://s112.photobucket.com/albums/n188/k5dh/Alliance/

The 1950s Bell XV-3 prototype tilt-rotor just came out of a 2-year
restoration and looked truly stunning! The TA-4J Skyhawk was a rare
treat and a real sight to behold in that multi-blue agressor color scheme.

I know the Thunderbirds' F-16C jets aren't exactly the kind of "warbirds"
this forum is meant for, but I've been trying to shoot THAT picture for
years, and I finally did it!

Cheers!

Did Chuckie fly the show or was she static the whole time. It is really great to see her getting out and about again.

To answer your questions...

I do have one static shot of Tarheel Hal that I haven't posted yet.
I'll "try" to get it added to the archive this evening.

The TA-4J carries a civilian registration, and it did not carry any
indications of being used for military contracts. I wish I'd had a
pen and paper to write down the "N" number. I usually have a
small tablet in my camera bag, but it was missing when I got to
the show this time. Note to self...

Chuckie did not participate in the flying, just the static display. We
did a land-office business in tours and souvenir sales! It is great
that we've made it to a few air shows this season. We were down
for a while with engine and turbocharger problems, plus an annual,
all of which happened right smack in the middle of the season! :(

Cheers!

I live under the VFR corridor in downtown Houston, and late Sunday afternoon I heard a quiet rumble, looked up, and saw Tarheel fly directly overhead, just chugging along...too cool. I wondered where she was coming from...I guess now I know.
