Well the airshow is this weekend and no one is talking about it yet.

Is anyone here going?

Well, there's plenty of activity here at the CAF hangar. Two of the Red Baron Squadron guys showed up today and I washed some of the dust off of FIFI. Should be more action as the week goes on.

Yep, I'll be there with camera in hand. No greasy hands this weekend, unless of course someone asks.

Sorry guys. Hey Chuck, didn't I just talk to you the other day by phone??? Have I slept since then??? I'm heading out Wednesday, with a mandatory stop at BKD, to check out the P-38. The Southern Cal guys will be arriving on Thursday, after the show in New Mexico. In addition to the Airpower demo, we will have a special Airpower demo for our Vietnam vets..... Including a UH-1 and a Cobra, both locally (Midland) owned and flown. Doug Jeanes is bringing the Mohawk and the H-13 from Addison, not sure if anything from Lone Star is on the list.... I will add more when I get the final word.... Alan

I'm taking the Skyraider to Midland on Wed to add another element to the Vietnam Demo.

Two Sandies on the strafing runs... Charlie better be ducking..... Eric, if you have not ever been to Breckinridge, to the Ezell's (and Howards'), you should stop by. Probably about 6o+ minutes from Breck to Midland. Lots of stuff not on the net at the moment. Looking forward to meeting you this weekend.... Alan

I'm scheduled to fly out to Midland sometime Thursday if the weather's good enough.

Stan Musick and I will be arriving on Thrusady in Red Nose and staying there until Monday. I will be helping sell rides on the C-45, SBD, and P-51 if any one is interested.

Or just come on by if you want some up close and personal pics of the airplanes.

I love this time of year! :D

How much do SBD rides cost?

A SBD ride is 495 for 20min of air time, wheels up to wheels down. If you want to sit backwards with the guns up NP, if you want to shoot down some Japanese’s airplane, also know as Texas buzzards, NP, or if you want to go along for a ride while the pilot puts it through its paces NP. I love the feel of that 1820 firing!

If you want some pics come on by and we will put you in both cockpits.

Thanks

Philip

Phillip, I didn't think I'd find any typing/spelling worse than mine! What is Thrusady? Is that the day after Wenday and before Firday? Anyway have a safe trip. I expect to go to Midland Fri.
