I created a locator for the aviation sites I have visited...
http://www.aerialvisuals.ca/Locator.html

It includes links to photo albums and coordinates for map programs to you can get directions.

If you were planning a trip would you find this sort of list useful?

I decided to create this list after a discussion here on WIX about 6-9 months ago. Other priorities kept me from working on it, but I have found time here and there over the last week to finish it off.

Do you want to find locations of displayed, stored or active aircraft? Then start with the The Locator.
Do you want to find or contribute to the documented history of an aircraft? If so then start with the Airframes Database.

You've got a duplicate entry in the michigan section for the Yankee Air Museum. You've got us in Belleville and Kalamazoo. I think you meant to put the entry to the K-zoo air zoo there (unless there was a hostile takeover that i didn't hear about  ).

Hey Mike, how about Tennessee Museum of Aviation located in Sevierville, Tennessee just east of Knoxville www.tnairmuseum.com
take a look at the web site for the list of aircraft, the only Matched Pair of P-47 Thunderbolts in the World, TBM Avenger, etc, etc...

I corrected the error. Thanks for pointing that out.

Not that I am not interested, but I am going to pass. As I indicated in the preamble on the page, I am scoping it to museums I have visited to keep the list to managable size. That way I can also guarantee the coordinates are accurate since I have been to those sites. However, if I get a chance to travel to Tennesee...

Actually Mint I think I will change my mind on that one. If you can provide the coorindates of the front door of the museum (use Google Maps or Google Earth) and a short 1 or 2 sentence description of the museum I will make an entry.

The same goes for anyone else that would like their museum to be included in the list. I would also like the list to include things like pole mounted aircraft that you find in parks, etc. The information I am looking for is...
Country
Province / State / Region
City
Coordinates (example 44 18 06.99 N 77 47 27.37 W)
Short Description - 1 or 2 sentences - may be as simple as "F-86 on a pole in a park."
