The Fighter Collections P-47G Razorback is off to Chino, for work to be done on it.

Glad to see LD coming home...even if it's just for abit.. :) . Does anyone know what type of work is going to be done? I hope the guys at the Fighter Collection keep the current paint scheme....it's beautiful the way it is....IMO..... :D

I must say that I'm quite obsested with this particular P-47. I first laid eyes on it in the mid 80's when my family moved to Elkhart, IN. My dad took me out to see Ray Stutsman and "Little Demon" every once in awhile. Lost touch with Ray for years, but I recently looked him up & visited him. He showed me his two huge photo albums, and a large file on the restoration. Told a few interesting stories, too. -Todd

Keep in mind it says the FUSELAGE, not the entire plane!

I guess that precludes any chance of seeing the two razorback Jugs in formation over Chino then!

I understand it needs some work to replace the structure that was taken out when the rear jump seat was installed.

So I'm GUESSING the rear seat is being removed, and going to be put in original single seat configuration? I believe Ray told me that the radio equipment was originally behind the pilot's seat. Since he wasn't going to use them & some of the pieces would be difficult to locate, he decided to put the second seat in using factory designs. -Todd
