With this being my first posting here, I apologize if this has been covered in the past (and I missed seeing it when reviewing old posts)...but what are everyone's favorite warbird-related periodicals (either from the USA or Europe or wherever)?

Currently, I suscribe to Warbirds and Air Classics, but wouldn't mind finding another magazine to have delivered to my door to satisfy my warbird fix. I occaisonally find Aeroplane at the nearby Barnes and Noble, but haven't yet broken down to get a subscription.

I'm excited to see a new warbird mag available soon...definitely keep us informed about availability and subsciption information, if possible.

Glad to be aboard for the ride!
Mark

My favorite is Classic Wings (see banner at top). Its one of the better "warbird" magazines around. I also get Air Classics, Warbirds International and Flypast & Aeroplane monthly but Classic Wings is the one I look forward too. And before you think I'm biased, I agreed to the banner advertisment BECAUSE I love Classic Wings and want to support them (as I try to support any enterprise run by WIXers)

I look forward to Warbird Digest and will try to support that one as well since the staff are long time WIXers.

Really pleased to see Tim taking the initiative, and other very capable names getting on board too (including James Kightly and Jim Church). I am sure this will grow into a worthwhile specialist publication given the support it deserves.

Very cool, I'm sure Warbird Digest will be a worthy replacement for Warbirds Worldwide. Lets all support Tim and make this the best Warbird magazine around.

Eric

I am surprised that JDK agreed to having a Mustang on the cover :)
But seriously, congratulations to all involved, although with more competition it means I will have to work harder

Gentlemen:

Will Warbird Digest be available on news stands? If so, when?

Good luck.

I just subscribed about twenty minutes ago and am looking forward to it's arrival. I also went ahead and got a two year subscription to Classic Wings as well. I've been threatening to do it for a while and just now got around to it. (Sorry it took so long Dave!)

I've also sent the link for both magazines to every aviation minded person I know. The more support the better!

I can't wait to get my hands on a copy. I've been wondering when it would come out ever since I heard about it back in May.

Brad / Scott

Thanks for your support and contributions, much appreciated ! . There is certainly room for both journals as interest continues to grow in both the warbird and vintage communities...and people are demanding more quality and depth in what they are reading. I like to think that Classic Wings is going a long way in providing this, after ten years of operation, and will continue to improve with each subsequent issue...I am sure readers will let us know if it isn't !
I certainly lamented the loss of the very fine Warbirds Worldwide , and if the new Digest is anywhere near as good I will certainly be signing up for a subscription . As both Paul Coggan , JDK and Graham Orphan will tell you, SUBSCRIPTION is the ONLY way these journals will survive. Purchasing from a newsagent just doesn't do it.... there is very little profit returned to the source, for publications sold over the counter....... so it is up to you !!
