Unknown engine on Ebay - any thoughts??

Spotted this on Ebay and thought I would see if anyone had any thoughts.

Initial thought was Wright Gipsy but on closer look doesnt quite fit.
Has Bendix mags, Stromberg carb. The other things that throw me a bit are the cross flow head and splined shaft. Also what seems to be an oil filler? on the top of the case.
Open to suggestions......

I put a pipe wrench on the front and couldn't get it to turn over last week.
