Awhile back, I posted a Facebook link to a P-40 gear retract test during an annual inspection.
Judging by the number of views, I'm guessing some of you found it interesting.

Now, Hangar 180 in Lewiston, Idaho has posted a brief video of the mustang test.
https://www.facebook.com/@Hangar180KLWS/

It's interesting to see the inner gear doors operate and the general speed of the retraction.

If you scroll down to their Jan. 16 post, there are several shots of the engine compartment during the annual. If you don't have regular access to a Mustang, you'll find them interesting.

The aircraft is N55JL, S/N 44-84615 C/N 124-44471
"Patty Ann II" 352nd FG

They have a very impressive collection, I like their P-64 replica. It's nice they share a look behind the scenes during annual season etc

Thanks, I sent the night at Jack's house in 1990 and took a bunch of pix of his NA-50, wish I knew where I put them. :(
