I came across this picture on eBay. It peaked my curiosity.

Pretty clearly a civilian A-26 executive conversion - but which one? The photo is just out of focus enough to make it difficult to read the registration. N123AA? AB? The nose looks similar to the Monarch 26 conversion, but the aft fuselage is deeper to the rear and may be pressurized??

Looks like Smith Tempo II N4204A (ex-A-26C 44-35640).

First off...That was darn quick! 11 minutes??

Thank you for the sharper picture. The Smith Tempo II is a really nice looking plane to my eye - and it has good genetics. I've never heard of this conversion.

Some interesting reading and additional pictures: https://napoleon130.tripod.com/id770.html

Years of looking in aircraft books - every year my brother and I would buy the latest "Observer's Book of Aircraft" and learn anything new. Then we'd browse second-hand book shops to fill in the gaps of any we didn't have. Plus the school library had a good selection of Jane's All the World's Aircraft and so we'd get to know the obscure and the esoteric. For me the esoteric stuff seemed far more interesting than the run-of-the-mill. And those PacAero, On-Mark, Dee Howards, Volpars etc were the pinnacle of esoteric!
