Flew on one of the other Mars in Jan 1951 from Alameda to Hawaii on my way to Korea. Quite a ride Flew so slow that we could throw the breakfast boxes out of one designated window. Long flight.

The firefighting Mars and Snowbirds...a pair of Canadian icons.
Too bad they didn't have Celine Dion singing for a trifecta. :)

I found the snowbirds a bit of distraction from the main star of the flight- at least your could still hear the radials.

Really good outcome for her future home.

Makes you think - once these two Mars have landed for the last time, wouldn't that leave NASA's WB-57 and Planes of Fame's 4-0-4 as the last flying Martin aircraft? Don't think there's much chance of a B-26 Marauder flying again anytime soon.
