FAIREY GANNET EXPERIENCE URGENTLY NEEDED.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2-3 volunteers to help prepare a US-based Gannet for its first flight in several years. The aircraft is currently located in Woodville, Wisconsin, and the intent is to prepare it for a ‘one flight only’ move during August/September time to Spokane, Washington, where it will be subject to a full maintenance package. All going well, the intent in the near future is to re-patriate it to UK, where we hope to bring it under the care of Navy Wings. Successful candidates will ideally have direct experience of having worked with the Gannet, either as engineers or pilots. Help potentially available with travel and subsistence costs. Interested parties should contact Tim Manna at tim@kennetaviation.com.

Blimey, that's a bit optimistic, given its 45 years since the Royal Navy flew the Gannet, so most ex-RN Gannet ground and air crew are going to be be knocking on 70+ now...

Gannet experience, not "Royal Navy Gannet experience". It's not that long ago since the Gannet was airworthy.

Yep, XL502 was flying at Mildenhall in 1988

Just a little bit more to XT752's convoluted story, including the comments section of the video.

AFAIK her last flights were 2016-2017. I'm hopeful this plan can be pulled off and XT752 graces UK skies.

Thanks for that additional info Dan. Wow, sounds like a real mess. Hopefully XT752 will have a bright future with Navy Wings.
